We use VARDIFF.Vardiff is stoped for now.
Q.What exactly is VARDIFF?
A.Many users have inquired about what VARDIFF means. VARDIFF stands for Variable Difficulty. Simply put the pool monitors the power of your mining rig and adjusts the difficulty of work sent to it to optimize the work done.
Currently the pool is set to variable difficulty of 8 to 32768. This means that if you have a slower rig, you will most likely always get 1024 difficulty shares, but if you have a faster rig you are likely to see higher difficulties, all the way up to 32768.
This reduces the times your client needs to get new work from the server reducing load and reducing the time it takes to get more work. This is also good for the pool as it reduces the amount of requests being done to the pool.
Q.My difficulty jumps around, is this normal?
A.Yes, it is completely normal. The mining server monitors the work you are sending to the pool and if it feels you are sending work too fast or too slow it will "Retarget" your difficulty to best server your client at that time. This process is continual.
Q.My share count has gone way up or down! Will I get paid less/more?
A.No! Every single share submitted is recorded on our system with the difficulty of that share. That share is then weighted for the difficulty done. When a block is found and the system pays out for that block, your shares are paid based on the difficulty of each one.
Q.But I thought GoldCoin Difficulty was x?
A.Yes but that is difficulty of current work on the network. The pool difficulty that is sent to your client is completely different.
So how to connect and start receiving GoldCoins ?
1. Create account.
Register, or login if you already have account
Create a worker that will be used by the miner to login
2. Download a miner.
Intel/ATI/AMD CGMiner (3.7.2) Windows
Intel/ATI/AMD CGMiner (3.7.2) Linux
NVIDIA Cudaminer
Intel/ATI/AMD BFGMiner Linux/Windows
Fabulous Panda Miner Mac OS X
Minerd CPU Miner Mac/Linux/Windows
3. Configure your miner.
If your using Linux, Then type the following into the console:
CGMiner
./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
BFGMiner
./bfgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
If you want to mine on a Windows Operating System, then you'll need to create a batch file to start your miner.
Simply open notepad and then copy and paste the following:
CGMiner
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
BFGMiner
bfgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
MinerD
minerd -a --scrypt -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
Cudaminer For NVIDIA Cards
cudaminer -o stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
You then need to change "-u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password" to reflect your own account. Eg, "-u Steve.StevesWorker -p StevesWorkerPassword" then go to "File > Save as" and save the file as "RunMe.bat" in the same folder containing your miners application files. You are now ready to mine, double click on "RunMe.bat" to start mining. If you want, you can create additional workers with usernames and passwords of your choice here.
Choose and change port that meets your miner:
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3315 (128 fixed difficulty, optimized for slow miners CPU,GPU,Gridseed........)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3320 (512 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3325 (1024 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3330 (2048 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3335 (4096 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3340 (8192 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
stratum+tcp://sminers.com:3345 (16384 fixed difficulty, optimized for Betterhash)
Port 3315 or 3320 or 3325 or 3330 or 3335 or 3340 or 3345 - depending on the speed of your rig.
4. Create a GoldCoin address to receive payments.
Downloading the client & block chain: Download the GoldCoin client from here.
Generate a new address and input it on your account page to receive payments.
